I got the contact info from the national Luxman distributor who said the owner, Mike, was the man to fix the vintage amp I bought online. The amp turned out to be a massive dud, but HV HiFi turned out to be a great discovery. In addition to new products, the shop also carries carefully selected high-end vintage gear that's fully examined and restored. My faith in vintage audio was restored by a beautiful, rare 1975 Pioneer receiver, which Mike refused to ship to me. Rather, he had it driven down for a nominal fee. There's no substitute for a great bricks & mortar shop. It's where you get personal service, product knowledge, and product support. This place is a real asset.
